Mykonos - Windy Island

Bag handmade unknown, sandals unknown, sunglasses unknown, top Stradivarius, necklace unknown, rings Ebay, gold ring Forever 21, large turquois bracelet gift unknown, two plastic turquois bracelets Forever 21, plastic and metal turquois and coral bracelets handmade.   As my five day adventure on Mykonos continues, I have managed to squeeze in some time for another post. Yesterday I visited Delos Island. For those of you who have not been to Mykonos or surrounding islands, Delos is an island 25 minutes from Mykonos by ferry. It is an archeological site worth exploring. Its known as a birth place of Apollo.  A whole town in ruins. Absolutely gorgeous! Make sure you bring water with you, as well as sunscreen, comfy shoes and very little clothing as it is extremely hot. If you have the energy, walk the stairs to the top of the island for an amazing view of Mykonos and surrounding islands. Mykonos is known to be very windy all year long. But somehow these few days we have been h

A Ferry Tale

Shorts H&M, heels Urban Planet, top Winners, bag H&S Handbags, sunglasses and bracelets Aldo, watch Michael Kors, jacket Miss Sixty   I finally snuck in some time to prepare couple of posts for you ladies. I gave myself a permission to enjoy these 3 weeks of vacation considering this is it for vacations for the next few months. I really wanted to make the best of it. I am currently in beautiful Mykonos. It is more beautiful than the pictures and videos I watched. The weather has been really good too. Apparently Mykonos is a really windy island but these first two days we have been here, the sea has been calm. I am very lucky to have a local showing me around. My husband’s Jiu Jitsu friend is from Mykonos and he is here for the summer as well. He has already shown us a few things which otherwise as a tourist, we would not have known. Did you know that in Mykonos families have their individual churches? Main reason is because in the old times, the fishermen did not kno

Hello From Europe

Hello my ladies. I apologize for being MIA but I have been a busy girl on this vacation. Coming back home and visiting family and friends takes up quite a bit of time. Too many things to see and do, too many people to see and too much food to try. I always need a vacation from a vacation being here. I have also not had access to a computer and internet at the same time. Usually I have one or the other but not both, so blog has been suffering a bit. Thank you to all of those who sent me nice messages on Facebook and emails telling me you miss my daily posts. I promise to make it up when I return. I will try and sneak in a post soon but not this coming week for sure. I am off to beautiful Mykonos, Greece so I will update you about my trip when I get back. I hope the rest of you are enjoying your last few days of August as well. I am leaving you with a few pictures of Mykonos to enjoy. I will let you know if it is as beautiful as these pictures when I get back. Ciao! Aleksandra <

No don't worry, you are not losing your mind, it is not Thursday still. The post is a little late. I was running around town finishing errands and packing as I am leaving today to Europe for 3 weeks, so I lost track of time. And then had some technical difficulties so it made no sense to me to post in the middle of the night. Yes, I was up till 3 AM this morning and am up again and it is only 7AM. I guess I will sleep like a baby on the plane :). You know those days when you are already busy as it is, and then a whole bunch of new things have to come up or you encounter problem after problem. Well yesterday was that kind of day for me. But it is a new day today and so far it has been good :). Even pictures yesterday would not come out right. It was a bit later in the day

My Obsession

Manolo Blahnik Tonight's post is a little different. I am sure all of you shoe obsessed readers will enjoy this one. Main reason I am posting this tonight is because I am a little short on time. (I can just hear my friend Alexandra telling me its just lazy of me, I should have taken pictures regardless hehehe). Two days before my trip and so many more things to finish, that I wonder how I will accomplish it. At least I purchased gifts for all the little ones back home that I have not seen in way too long. In view of this I didn't get a chance to snap any new pictures of outfits. Outfits worth posting anyway. This post I prepared couple of weeks ago and for some reason never posted it. I guess it was not the perfect time for it, but tonight it certainly comes in handy. I will be back tomorrow with a new outfit but tonight I am off to pack, and so on :). I have been thinking now how to transition into the next paragraph, but I came back with nothing. So please try to ig

Another Short Day

Shorts Forever21, heels Gucci, white shirt Zara, chambray shirt TNA from Aritzia, scarf Bershka, clutch unknown from Winners, sunglasses Aldo, cuff and elephant bracelets Forever 21, black/gold ring The Bay, belt Danier men, black/gold bracelet Joe Fresh, gold ring H&M, other bracelets Ebay   Another day , another short. For a change this one is not denim. This pair I bought in Forever 21. I liked the fit but mostly I liked the pattern. It reminds me of the Aztec print. And you can't beat the price: $19. Who would say no to that? Wear it dressed up or dressed down (which I already did) and you have yourself a multipurpose piece of clothing. As the weather in Canada has started to get a bit cooler (not that this summer overall was very warm), layering comes in handy. I love layering as it gives more depth and interest to an outfit. I wore here a shirt over a shirt, chambray shirt over a white linen shirt, and made sure to put a belt on it, otherwise it looks pretty bulky.
